Indiana Developers Submit Bids for Market Square Arena Site

The Metropolitan Development Commission is expected to make its decision by July on two bids submitted for the redevelopment of the former Market Square Arena site in downtown Indianapolis. Developer Kosene & Kosene submitted a bid, as did Market-Ability, Inc., which consists of four Indiana developers. That group is proposing a $150 million, 523,000 square foot mixed-use development that would include a Target store. If the proposal is selected by the City of Indianapolis, the group says it would break ground in October, with completion slated for 2009.

Site helps promote ebay auctions

Dominitech, a popular search engine and Internet portal, has announced its launch of a new Dominitech Market Place. The Dominitech Market Place will serve as a quick and easy way for eBay users to promote their auctions.

Ebay users can now easily submit their auction numbers and descriptions using a tool found in the Dominitech Market Place. Jeff Herrera, Affiliate Marketing Manager, says, This is an excellent opportunity for eBay users to promote their auction to the thousands of visitors Dominitech.com receives everyday, as well as give current Dominitech visitors more of a reason to keep coming back.

It simply has information about poker and nothing more.
Before Dominitech closed most of its services back in 2004 after downsizing, the Domintech Market Place was called the Dominitech Shopping Area.

Boots recommending KKR bid

LONDON (Reuters) - The board of Alliance Boots, the pharmacy chain caught in a bidding war, reiterated on Friday it was recommending a $22 billion (11 billion pounds) offer by private equity firm KKR and its deputy chairman Stefano Pessina.

Alliance Boots said in a statement it would also continue to provide a second group of bidders, led by private equity firm Terra Firm, with high level due diligence including access to senior management.

A bidding war for the pharmacy chain broke out earlier on Friday when the two private equity firms put in competing offers as they vied to strike Europe's biggest leveraged buyout.

Malcolm Campbell and his son Donald lived on the edge of human endeavour.

Now a collection of glass "magic lantern" slides is being sold by Cheffins at an auction in Sutton near Ely on Saturday.

There are 188 pictures, each 8cm by 8cm, in the collection which chronicles the incredible lives of the two men.

Some of the slides show Sir Malcolm's record attempts at Saltburn in 1922, Fanoe and Pendine around 1924 and Daytona in 1928 and 1934.

Bids made for France's Club Internet-newspaper

PARIS, April 12 (Reuters) - Several groups have made bids for French Internet operator Club Internet which has been put up for sale by Deutsche Telecom (DTEGn.DE: Quote, Profile, Research), the La Tribune newspaper said on Thursday.

It said rival operators Neuf Cegetel (NEUF.PA: Quote, Profile, Research) and Iliad (ILD.PA: Quote, Profile, Research) as well as Ypso had made bids last week. Ypso is made up of investment funds Cinven and Altice which own cable television and Internet operator Noos Numericable.

The paper said the price for Club Internet, which has 600,000 ADSL clients, could be close to 500 million euros

($671.3 million). However, the paper said Club Internet made a 2006 operating loss of some 100 million euros on sales of 200 million euros due to heavy investments to deal with client growth.
