The Peak conducting a silent auction to help Larchmont/Mamaroneck ...

WXPK 107.1-FM The Peak is conducting a silent auction this afternoon to raise money to help those who were devastated by Sunday's nor'easter in Mamaroneck.

The money raised from today's auction will go to the Larchmont/Mamaroneck Hunger Task Force. The organization which - spends approximately $5,000 every two weeks on food under normal circumstances - lost all of its food in the flood caused by the storm.

"We consider Mamaroneck a second home because of all the time we spend at Acme Recording Studios for our Peak Performances," said The Peak's program director Chris Herrmann in a statement.

"The dichotomy of life styles has been made very clear through the recent storm which wiped out the community food bank that those whose homes were flooded relied on for support.
